This is the perfect...

This is the perfect history lesson of how the Louvre came to be and gets you to the main attractions with ease and with a good understanding of how they all fit into history. Simon was a fantastic guide - I feel like we lucked out with someone who really appreciates his work.

Simon was wonderful! He was very engaging, knowledgable, and energetic. We saw the pieces we were hoping to see and he gave us great insight and perspective. After the official tour, we wandered for another hour without a guide - we missed Simon's enthusiasm!

Awesome day in Paris

Simon, un grand merci ! You provided us with a fantastic French experience, all in English. The tour was well-organized, offering a great balance of walking and metro travel. It started at a relaxed pace in the morning, allowing us to ease into the day, and maintained the perfect rhythm throughout. By the end, we wrapped up right on time at a picture-perfect.

The only way to do the Louvre

I cannot recommend this tour enough. I recently went with my 12 year old son and we LOVED everything about the tour. The Louvre is huge and can be busy but the combination of going at the end of the day, and our incredible and knowledgable guide Simon, meant we avoided the crowds, saw all the good stuff and had a great time. But most of the experience was down to Simon who was amazing. How he knows as much as he does is a mystery to me but it was enough to keep both me and my 12 year old son rivetted for 3 hours. Thanks Simon!

Great tour with simon

Fantastic tour with Simon who was super enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Being able to combine Sante-chappelle, concierge and notre Damme on one tour was great.

Paris with Simon

Be prepared to walk...... walk....... and then walk some more. We had an amazing tour guide in Simon. He was very attentive and patient with all our photo taking. We loved that he took our winter coats and stored them in a locker at the Louvre so we didn't have to carry them around. It was so sweet when he was talking about things that he loved the most on the tour he would smile from ear to ear and have more pep in his step. Trust me he didn't need more pep. I would have liked to know to order the whipped cream on top of our hot chocolate when ordering.... no whipped cream or cocoa on top...... This is a must for a Paris trip.

We had the most incredible experience on our tour! Our guide, Simon, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and full of interesting stories that brought the city's history to life. He made sure we got the most out of every stop, from the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre and everything in between. Be prepared for a lot of walking, but every step is worth it! We covered so much ground and saw so many iconic sights that we never could have managed on our own in just one day. If you're short on time but want to experience the best of Paris, this tour is a must! Highly recommend—especially if you're lucky enough to have Simon as your guide.

A perfect orientation to the city!

This was a great way to spend our first day in Paris! Our guide, Simon, was knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his role. He engaged my kids throughout the tour and graciously snapped family photos at major landmarks. The tour offered distinct advantages during our visit to the Louvre, enabling us to skip lines and see the highlights within just a couple of hours. It also helped to build our confidence in navigating the Metro for the rest of our trip.

The tour was great, Simon our guide was GREATER

Make sure you are able to walk 7-8 miles! There are about 2-3 rest stops in between, and you can rest during transportation, but other than that you walk the whole time. Try to use the restroom before and then any opportunity you can. Our guide, Simon, was super helpful and had everyone use the bathroom at regular appropriate times. PLEASE listen to your guides and follow instructions. We were lucky to be in a small group because we had an early tour (9AM). But it could be very easy to get lost especially if you're slow. Our tour guide Simon was awesome. He was funny, conversational, did fun little trivia and made the whole tour entertaining. I highly recommend him if you are able to choose.

Our guide was named Simon. He was simply outstanding across the board. Simon was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. It was obvious Simon possesses a strong knowledge of history and answered all questions graciously. Simon rates 10+ and is exemplary!

Great way to discover Paris

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour. It was a fun way to learn about and discover Paris while visiting a lot of major tourist sites. Our tour guide Simon was ace!! He was very knowledgeable and made the tour quite interesting. I fully recommend this tour to everyone visiting Paris.

Fantastic trip

We recently took this tour and it exceeded our expectations. We visited the most iconic landmarks, Montmatre, Nortre Dame, Louvre, Eiffel Tower and finished with the Seine River cruise. Our tour guide, Simon, was wonderful, very knowleagable, professional and engaging. He shared fascinating historical insights and fun anecdotes that made the experience even more enjoyable. Our tour was an excellent way to explore Paris for first time visitors. We highly recommend it and highly recommend Simon!

Paris in a day

I can't give this enough stars!!! A great all day walking tour all over Paris to see the major highlights. My FitBit logged 30,000 steps! Our guide Simone was top notch - he managed a group of various ages expertly, including 3 trips on the Metro! He seemed to know exactly when we should arrive at each destination - i.e Notre Dame when the noon bells were ringing. He gave a great tour of the Lourve as well. It was a spectacular first day in Paris. Highly recommend!!!

Great walking tour of Monmartre, Notre Dame, The Louvre and Eiffel Tower

Simon is an excellent tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about Montmartre, Notre Dame, The Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. He provided in-depth details and presented in a way that was engaging and thought provoking. He is a great communicator and establishes instant rapport with his group. Amazing tour

This tour was excellent. Our guide Simon was amazing, he was very knowledgeable, super nice and it felt like he loves what he does, didn't seem like the typical tour where they say the same things over and over but it was a very tailored experience for the people that was on the tour that day. The tour is long and by the end of the day you end up extremely tired, but it's worth it if you don't have that much time since you get to see most of the big important things in just one day! I couldn't say what we loved the most, Paris is simply magic, so I would strongly recommend the tour!! Thank you so much!

There is so much to see in a short period of time. Simon was our guide and you can hear the excitement in his voice as he describes the works of art and what was happening during that time period! Great tour!

This was an excellent tour! Our tour guide Simon Gaulier was so passionate and knowledgeable. We learned about the art, the artists, historical context, scientific advancements and so much more. It gave my family and I a much deeper appreciation of the place. Simon also answered all our questions and gave us pointers on what to check out on our own later. Highly recommend.

Art Lesson at the Musee d'Orsay

Simon was amazing! His knowledge and enthusiasm was wonderful. He didn't just talk about pieces of art, he helped us look at the pieces in a new light. He shared how pieces were judged and how that ultimately birthed new genres of art such as impressionism. The time just flew by.

See it all in a few hours

Wow, got to see a lot in the alloted time. Saw everything you need to see and showed you how to get around. While you didn't spend much time at each stop, you knew if you wanted to come back for more. Our guide Simon, was the greatest, knowledgeable, injected some humor, really ran a great event. Skip the boat ride if you want, none of the audio was working, couldn't see much and it was packed. Was moreover an add on at the end of the tour, so I didn't really consider it part of the tour.

Excellent way to see the main sights in 1 day. It is a lot of walking and takes time, but worth it! Simon was very knowledgeable and passionate about his city, very helpful for navigating the Louvre!

Simon was our tour guide and he was wonderful. His knowledge on the subjects in the Louvre brought the museum to life, but it was his passion for art and art history that really made our tour memorable. Our only complaint was that we specifically booked a trip on Viator that claimed to be “small group” with “a maximum of 6 people”. Once we met our guide, we were thrown into a group of 20+ people with no explanation. However, our experience in the Louvre with Simon made up for it! We would highly recommend touring with him to other travelers and friends.

Simon's passion for his country and city was evident in the way he proudly guided us through each location. His deep knowledge, combined with his warm and pleasant personality, made spending the day with him an absolute delight.

This tour will enhance your visit significantly

The guide, Simon, was really interesting. He had a story to tell about the contact and development of the Impressionists and used examples to illustrate his point. It was so much more entertaining than looking at each room in turn and reading the guide/signs/listening to audio. After the tour, you could stay and return to areas you wanted to revisit. The only slight issue was that the route started with a toilet stop, the queue for the ladies was, as ever, very slow.

Another excellent tour guide! Simon was the best tour guide we've ever had and would highly recommend him to anyone! A great overview of Paris

Our guide Simon did a wonderful job. He actually did the job of 2 guides. This is unfortunate because Viator claimed to offer a small group of 7 people and we ended up with 14. I am hoping that Viator offers some type of consideration to their clients for the limited access to the guide. I would still say this is a very good tour for a quick overview of the highlights of the city. If a person or group wants an in-depth understanding of any one part of the group, they should consider a different tour. We did get in about 15,000 steps. It was our expectation, but it should be a consideration for some.

It's a long tour but you see so much in just a single day! Simon was the best guide and... very French :) Would highly recommend!

Art

Our guide Simon was great. The tour is overpriced. The museum is very busy so it helped to have a guide go to less crowded spots. Simon shared a lot of information we probably wouldn't have discovered on our own. The meeting place took us some time to find. The guide there didn't have her sign up the first time we walked by so that was stressful.

Crowded

There were 20 people in the group which made it a bit difficult to get through the crowds the entire tour. Simon was a very good guide. I enjoyed his presentation and the info he shared with us.

My family had a wonderful tour with Simon at Notre Dame. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the cathedral is so infectious. We have been to Notre Dame before, but Simon brought such insight. If you want to know more about Notre Dame then please book Simon.
